sassyamy: (Stitch w00t!)
So, every senior at my school has to do a senior speech in order to graduate. I decided that I was going to do a speech on whether or not Disney Heroines (Princess and non-princess, but not villains) are good role models for girls. Well, I did such an extensive outline for my speech that I decided to write a short paper about it....well, a "short paper" turned out to be about 5 pages worth, single spaced, in Microsoft Word. I'm posting it here in cast anyone wants to read it. **NOTE** This is NOT a (major) criticism about Disney. I LOVE Disney, but this is a paper on a disturbing trend I've noticed. I felt I needed to say what I needed to say, and now that I've done it, I can move on. Who knows, perhaps I'll even send it to the Disney company to see what they think!
By the way, I DID use text bolding, italisising, and underlining, but I'm much too tired to go back and add it all in tonight. If you want, I can either e-mail you a proper verion of the paper, or, if enough people bother me about it, I can go back and edit this entry to have all the cool text stuff.

My wonderful Disney essay...WARNING: It really is about 5 pages long...for once, I'm not exaggerating! )
